1. Sullivan Goss - An American Gallery

To whom it may concern:

I have made use of the cabinet and finish carpentry of Peter Palmer for numerous projects in several residences and both of our businesses:  Sullivan Goss - An American Gallery, and the Arts & Letters Cafe.

We have employed him on projects since 1996 and as recently as a year ago.

Mr. Palmer has been responsive, timely, cost-conscious and tidy.  In our businesses, he as done his work at night and managed to deliver a clean and serviceable retail space come morning.  He has coordinated well with other tradespeople and is alway interested in seeing to it that we are happy.

For many of these projects, I needed someone I could trust - for security reasons, and therefore I did not always bid him against others.  From time to time, where I could, I checked his numbers against others and he was alway amongst the lowest of bidders.

If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to call me.  805-730-1460.

( I think one of them is Hayward’s because that’s who did the digital CAD drawing they gave me to work with for bidding purposes)  As you know, work for all of us in the trades / housing related industry has been very slow and this is one job that I need in particular at this point in time.  I am not one to usually ask for favors, but it would be a great help if you could e-mail a letter of reference to me so that I may forward it to my potential client David Baum?  Let him know that I am committed to quality workmanship and excellence in personal service.  And that I will do whatever it takes to see that my clients needs are met beyond expectation.

To whom it may concern,

Pete Palmer of Fine Pine Designs has completed multiple projects for my home including a custom home entertainment cabinet, a garage entertainment unit and a custom home office desk wall unit. All projects were completed on time and to the highest quality construction. Pete comes highly recommended; I have passed his name to a few close friends who also have been very satisfied with his craftsmanship.

4. Adelheid and Wilfried Kowollik

Santa Barbara March 5th 2009

In 2008 we ordered a dining table in birch wood seating eight people, that was custom made  for us by Peter Palmer Fine Pine Designs Santa Barbara.

Peter designed the table and we are absolutely happy with the outcome. He finished the work on time and when I decided that I wanted two have drawers on two sides of the table, it was no problem at all. Peter did a first class work with our table and his personal service was excellent.

We very much appreciated that he always took the time to talk about the design, the wood or anything we worried about.

We are absolutely happy with our new dining table and we will most certainly use Peter Palmer again for any future projects.

Dear Pete -

I LOVE it - thank you so much! It is exactly what I wanted and so quickly! I owe you a 6-pack of Dos Equis [I would never have guessed that one so I'm glad I had Rich ask you!].

I hear you are going to have a really cool web site.

In case it helps you at all I thought I'd write you a "testimonial" [see below] that you could post onto it, if you want. I won't be offended if you don't use it., or edited it... whatever you want!

I did one for my photographer [he takes all my acting head-shots, and the publicity photos for my theatre company] and he said it really helped his business as people recognized my name and went with my recommendation.

What ever works  right? While I think of it I'll give Fine Pine a call out on YELP. [www.yelp.com] Again, thanks so much Pete: you did a fabulous job and so quickly!

Emma-Jane Huerta [theatre director and performer; co-owner of the Iyengar Yoga Studio of Santa Barbara]

I have purchased two items from Fine Pine Designs and would call Pete Palmer  the instant I want something made.

He built the shoe-bench at our yoga studio about 2 years ago. Not only does it look great, but it takes quite a daily beating from all of our students sitting on it, dumping heavy bags onto it, throwing their belongings into the cubbies underneath, stepping on it to tie up their shoes... it is as strong and good-looking as the day it arrived here. Pete listened to our needs, took measurementds and made the bench in no time at all.

I recently asked him for a shelf-unit to store all my toiletries in our rather "petite" bathroom. I emailed him my measurements and described what I had in mind - TWO days later the finished knotty pine unit is sitting in my bathroom, and I love it! This was done via email - Pete even emailed me a sketch! Not only did he build this amazingly quickly, but he also designed something that was exactly what I needed, and looks 100 times better than I could have imagined. And the price was right too!

I always recommend Fine Pine Designs to anyone wanting something custom-made. Pete works with the best wood and has an eye for design that makes everything he produces something special.
